Sorbact – Green Wound Healing

No Resistance Development – No Environmental Effects

Sorbact is efficacious for all types of wounds and for fungal infection in skin folds when treating, or reducing the risk for, bacterial and fungal infections. With the new Sorbact gel compress the range of applications is increased even further. Now Sorbact can be used for everything from dry to heavily exuding wounds.

Sorbact absorption dressing
Absorption dressing with Sorbact’s bacteria and fungi binding effect: Apply directly on exuding wounds. For deep wounds: combine absorption dressing with a Sorbact compress (see below) or ribbon gauze. The dressing is available in 3 different sizes. Application: High to moderately exuding wounds

Sorbact compress
Acetate fabric with Sorbact’s bacteria and fungus binding effect: Apply directly on moderately exuding wounds. For deep, exuding wounds: fluff one or more compresses and place directly into the wound (avoid packing), then cover with absorption dressing. For fungal infections: secure an unfolded compress directly onto the skin. The compress is available in 2 sizes. Application: Moderately exuding wounds and fungal infections in skin folds

Sorbact ribbon gauze
Cotton fabric with Sorbact’s bacteria and fungi binding effect: Suitable for many applications, e.g. treatment of fistulae. For fungal infections: the big size is used for big skin folds, while the small size is used between toes and the like. The ribbon gauze is available in 2 sizes.Application: Moderately exuding wounds and fungal infections in skin folds

Sorbact swab
Swab with Sorbact’s bacteria and fungi binding effect: Suitable for dressing minor cavities. The swab can also be used for wound cleansing, as bacteria bind to the surface already after 15 seconds of contact. Application: Moderately exuding wounds and wound cleansing

Sorbact gel
Acetate fabric with Sorbact’s bacteria and fungi binding effect in combination with a hydrogel: The gel compress is easy to handle and enables treatment of dry wounds. Choose Sorbact gel when the amount of exudates is unclear. The gel compress can be combined with other Sorbact products and is available in 2 sizes. Application: Dry to low exuding wounds

Sorbact surgical dressing
Film dressing with pad and Sorbact’s bacteria and fungi binding effect: The dressing protects and reduces risk of infection in “clean wounds”. The product is available in 7 different sizes. Application: Post-operative or as wound protection and also suitable as secondary dressing in combination with Sorbact gel

Dressing-change frequency
Wound treatment: Once per day up to two times a week, depending on the amount of exudates.
Treatment of fungal infection: Once every 24 hours.
Surgical dressing: Leave it on for 3 days or according to recommendation.
